What makeup style should I choose on my wedding day?
Choosing the right makeup for your wedding day is an important decision as it can significantly impact your overall bridal look and how you feel on your special day. Here are some tips to help you decide what kind of makeup to choose for your wedding
- Your Personality and Style: Your wedding makeup should reflect your personal style and comfort level. If you typically wear minimal makeup and prefer a natural look, don't feel pressured to go for a heavy, dramatic look just because it is the current trend. Conversely, if you love experimenting with makeup and often go for bold looks, you can incorporate more drama into your bridal makeup.
Natural Makeup
Natural makeup. Fresh and radiant with rosy cheeks and subtly enhancing eye makeup. It looks great under the natural sunlight and it is suitable for outdoor settings such as morning shoots and outdoor solemnisations. If you are a minimalist or someone who does not wear makeup at all on a daily basis, you will love seeing how natural and fresh you look. One of the forte of our works at Dazxle Makeup is creating a natural yet enhancing makeup for our brides so that you look gorgeously natural without going overboard in person and looking great in photos.
Soft glam makeup is more defined with subtle shimmer and enhancing eyeshadow colours such as soft browns and taupe. Enhancing lashes are added to give greater dimension to the eyes. It looks great in indoor settings such as hotel ballrooms and warm settings restaurants.

With bold eyeshadows, striking winged eyeliner, and lips that command attention, you'll be ready to command the stage. From vibrant hues to smoldering smoky eyes, there are no limits to bold makeup. Here, we have added commanding lashes with bold eyeshadows and a neutral lip for one of the finalist of Miss Universe Singapore 2023.
2. Complement your Dress and Theme: Your wedding theme and dress can influence your makeup and hair choices. Consider your wedding theme, wedding colour theme and even your wedding outfit. For example, having an oriental theme and a cheongsam outfit, allows you to opt for an oriental drama inspired look and an updo to go with the high collar. Aways share with your makeup artist the wedding theme you have in mind.
3. Trial run: Lastly, we highly recommend you to schedule a trial before your actual day. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your preferences and to see how will you look- at least from the top, on your actual day. Almost all brides will swear by the importance of a trial. It’s after all, a very special day for you.
